Karate Weapons Class

So, Had Karate Last night, we focused on the weapons, we did the new first half of the Sai Kata. they have made the kata so much more powerful, given the attacks more oomph, and made it look alot less Dull,
We also did the Bo Staff Kata's 1,2,3 and 4, the bo Kata's seem to get longer and longer as you go through, but they are soo much fun, very intricate, we also briefly went back over Chatanyara Kushanku, i finally got the jump right on it.
So the Training was quite different from the rest of them, i got to use my Sai Swords again, and it has re-sparked my lust to finish carving my Bo staff, which i will keep everyone posted on.
thanks for reading. - Liam

Model Plane Gala

This weekend just gone , i went to a Model Gala which was run by scouts in South Auckland, it was alright, the building had models entered in from all the different Troops, but i didn't get to see them as when we got there they closed it off to everyone, for judging, although that was closed, there was a number of activities being run outside at the time, including a hovercraft, Paper Plane competitions (which by the way i did not do so well at), water rockets and a small bake sale, with all of these things to see, by far the most exciting was the Remote Control Aircraft guy from Kumeu had brought down his planes and near the den was a clump of massive Pine tree's, and every time the RC guy launched one his planes into the sky after a few minutes of flying, from the trees a Magpie would dive towards the plane and attack it, this went on many times as the pilot would just maneuver out of the way just in time, it was a real dogfight between Nature, and Man. takes a whole new spin on Man vs Wild, the bird ended up striking a few good blows to the aircraft which were quickly patched up,after that, it was the results for the Model Planes, Which my Troop Taiaotea Air, got a medal in with every division they entered, Great job guys. All in all it was a great fun day with plenty of laughs. - Liam

How did you get interested in free running

I got Interested in Free Running and Parkour, when i was 10 and i saw it on the movies and a few Games, mostly Assassins Creed, kinda Fell in love with it, it was the way people could flow through urban areas like water. so i started training by my self for a while, then got my Friends interested, and now in the present i am a project manager at the Sentry Traceurs, which is a Parkour team and small company in Browns Bay
